Highlights with Ramon Rivas, Bill Squire, Jim Tews, Mike Polk & Hannibal Buress. Someone won some CLE Clothing Co. swag, people probably did coke & people looked like Bill.

Kosta's Kronicles: Hilarities 4th street Theatre- Cleveland
Hilarities 4th Street Theatre has a reputation as being one of the best comedy clubs in the country and it held true. Not only is the theatre top notch with great service, food, wine (champagne!), but the crowds were fantastic and I felt honored to perform there. Thank you to Nick, the owner, and…
Back before Ramon moved to Chicago, he opened up for Michael Kosta. Kosta just filmed his first comedy central special! Congrats! Al Jackson (heard on several episodes of the podcast) also filmed a comedy central presents this year. Congrats to both of you bastards.
Interesting writing re: comedy classes
The following was written by Ramon Rivas, and features a first hand view of comedy classes and the story & feedback of a graduate of Stand Up Comedy Bootcamp
—-
Excerpt:
There’s been a lot of dialogue recently regarding stand up comedy classes. They’ve been around for a while (I have an interview with Johnny Carson where he references them doing them back in the 30’s & 40’s, so they’re not a new phenomena) but recently a stir has been caused.
Doug Stanhope wrote a blistering review of the Stand Up Comedy Bootcamp, by Kyle Cease & Louie Anderson. I read it back when he wrote it in July, but I didn’t watch the video that caused it or did any further research, I just laughed when reading it & moved on.
Then, the podcast Comedy & Everything Else had a two part episode in which Jimmy Dore interviews Kyle Cease. Then, a few episodes later Todd Glass returned to the show & went on a rant arguing against what had happened during the Kyle Cease interview.
So, here’s my first hand experience with a comedy class & a second hand experience of someone that went to one of the first of the Stand Up Comedy Bootcamps.
March 1: Piss Art & Truman Capote
This is probably one of our favorite episodes, we talk shit about stupid animals and cool people stop by to tell jokes.
May 31: Ramon's Last Stand
Ramon’s leaving for Chicago. Everyone is so sad they’re clapping for that fact. Jim Tews makes technology work for Chucklefck with a LIVE TWITTER FEED on screen behind the comics. It was fun. Mama Jenny is sullen.
Bill Squire barely makes it through a classic Cleveland joke. The Salty Not Sweet broads are in the audience. They like being called broads and dranking booze.
Ramon & Jims whorish dads both tell jokes thanks to pre-recorded videos.
Tim Cornett is sad to realize that caffeine leads to hair loss.
Rob O’Reilly puns it up something FIERCE.
Jesse Alison doesn’t have a nervous breakdown on stage.
Lee Honeycutt ignores the twitter screen.
Maria Borgio talks about horrible gig in Chicago with Tom Papa of the Marriage Ref, scaring the b’jesus out of Ramon.
Ben Palmer was born a bad dresser, like everyone else who dresses poorly.
Al Jackson drops in again for a set.
And Ramon eats his ballllls at the end of the show.
May 17th: Awkwardness with Cameras
Jim Tews threatens to leave town unless we start to pay him. Ramon Rivas is leaving town. They both feel like fat girls.
The Times Square Bomber had bad credit, the New York Times provides some news, Jim is as insensitive as Arizona.
Maria Borgio is back from LA! She couldn’t handle the sun.
Some weirdo makes everyone uncomfortable then Ramon makes fun of him
Mike Polk shares some stories and outtakes from the ‘We Are Lebron’ Video, including the Norton Furniture guy, Dick Goddard and Tim Misny.
Favorite Lee Honeycutt does a set
Rob O’Reilly is back in town from New York and closes out the show.
April 26: A fur coat made of cat's that couldn't be saved
Jim Tews & Ramon Rivas talk about giving it up for jenny, Stephen Hawking, Ramon’s dad hitting on chicks through Ramon’s facebook, mexican nazi’s, somalian pirates (again?), Ben Roethlisberger & stupid jocks, iphones and sex lives.
Jerry Jaffe professors his way onto the podcast and Ramon makes fun of his penis, Leon Golterman bombs because Heather Wiswell wanted him to, we realize Chucklefck would be the best show in the world if it were in Amsterdam, we wonder why Ramon keeps doing all black churches, Jim talks about performing in a jew church, Farkas talks about a painful dick mishap. Finally, Al Jackson stops in and does a set.
March 22: A comic asks a heckler who he was heckling to stop heckling him
All hell breaks loose at the end of this episode. Ramon talks about his trip to the CIFF and Jim tells us about Skitzo Bill shitting on himself and shares his NYC experience including his families trip to Olive Garden for unlimited soup salad and tension.
Chris Mackar has a talkboy cassette recorder? Craig Doyle and Ramon talk about baseball gloves and porn, Chris Clem, Ben Palmer and Kirk Robinson all have podcasts, Jenny from Behind the bar was ousted from Cleveland Hottest Bartender, and visitors Tracy Kanaan and Travis Lipski stop by. Travis causes a disturbance and Kyle Kovach blows up on him from the audience.
